My dog is losing hair after getting in the insulation under our home, what can we do?

She might have allergies. My dog has skin allergies, and when he gets into something that triggers them, we have to take him to the vet to get an allergy shot. The insulation, can make humans itch if it gets on your skin, so im wondering if she got into some insulation, and now has this problem. If she is scratching the areas where the hair is gone, then deffinatly thats what it is. The hair will fall out, because they scratch at it so much, and she is scratching because of allergies.

Bathe the dog thorougly with a soothing shampoo. Then take him or her to their vet to assess any respiratory damage and get some medication to treat the irritated skin.

do you mean just moulting? If so he's probably just 'feeling' the temp change a bit. If it's a lot of hair get a vet to look at him to make sure he is not having a reaction.

Did you give your dog a bath after he/she got in to the isulation? If not, try that first. Be sure to use a soap that is soothing to the skin.

If it doesn't improve, take him/her to the vet. Insulation can be really nasty.

my dog has sensitive skin and I was told by my vet to bath her with Selsome Blue. It helped her, she stoped scratching all the time and her hair grew back. (she's a chow lab mix)

Oh No It sounds like your dog is having an allergic reaction. I wouth take them to the vet and see what they say at least then they can give it a shot of quartisone or something to help any iching.
