If it is coming out in small or large clumps with dry skin attached to the roots, then she has mites, fleas, or lice, and you will need to see a vet who should prescribe you an ivermectin based treatment, or a treatment called revolution. Another sign that she has mites etc is if she doesn't enjoy being pet.

If you are just noticing that there are random hairs on you after lap time (without dry skin and not in clumps) then she is just shedding which is usual for a lot of animals when temperatures are warm.

As you have used the word "clumps" it sounds like your problem is my former suggestion which means you need a vet visit asap.

i, like many yahoo users, am not a big professional or anything... but i've had some experience with them.

I noticed that sometimes when they stress a bit, they'll shed a bunch of fur all of a sudden.

Is she a new guinea pig?

She might just not be used to you if she is~

And if its a long-haired pig, they shed a bit more... I wouldn't worry unless the shedding was truly excessive..

If she is losing it in clumps it is usually a sign of stress, when my guinea pig needed to see the vet due to uri he had to give her a injection and as he held the skin on her neck a huge clump came out and he told me this happens in a moment of stress.
