My dog losing his hair?

my family has a husky wolf and lately he has been losing all his hair, so we assumed it was his winter coat just falling off, however, today we were looking at him and almost all his hair is falling off in big areas leaving his pink skin revealed. also on his skin it almost looks like he has extreme dandruff and this is even in his ears.

should we be really worried?

i we're taking him to the vet soon aswell...just looking for second opinion now.

my advice it to take him to the vet immediately it could possibly be mange but sometimes also dogs get something called hot spots or allergies try washing him real good and be sure to rinse all the soap out and see if that helps also

Could be mange? Look it up on the internet and they'll probably have a picture so you can compare.

Dogs may start shedding if they are sick, stressed, of pregnant. You may need to go to a vet for a treatment!

i had a dog that had the same thing.....he was allegic to flesa

He's got mange....

An enexpensive way to get rid of it is to soak a wash cloth in peroxide %26amp; wash the spot, several times aday untle it starts to grow hair again.

This works because I did this to my mom's cat a few weeks ago.

i think your dog has mange, and when you go to your vet, they'll tell you what to do.

My dog losing his hair?

thats weird i would just say that it was his winter coat but his skin shouldnt be showig weird. my dog is chewing her fur off. maybe yours is too. ..... my old dog use to do this it was just because she was an outdoor dog and loved the cold so when it was hot she would losse all her hair inculding the stuff that shouldnt fall out. he will be ok

Go to the vet ASAP! Yes you should be worried. This is really serious.

Hello...What you are describing sounds like allergies to pollen. What part of the country do you live in and when did the problem start?

You may try just going to your local store or pharmacy and buy Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 25mg tablets, which is nothing more than a Antihistamine. Some of the cheaper brands like Equate sold by Wal-mart, will be sufficient.

Give your animal only one tablet per day and within a few days you should see improvement. When first giving any medication to an animal always watch them for at least one hour for side effects.
