She is healthy, eats a good diet plus some table foods. Husband thinks it's because of going in %26amp; out of doggie door %26amp; it rubs that area? What do you think?

that could be it. or it could just be the collar lies there, after a while, no hair grows there. same with my shih tzu. =]

Another answer could be mange. Tons of dogs are born with it or they can contract it from other dogs and it often causes them to loose their hair. I boarded my dog once and she came back with three little bald spots on the back of her neck. At first we thought they had done something to her but, then we took her to the vet and he said it was mange and that it usually affects their neck and the base of their ears first. She wasn't even scratching the area or anything so we were surprised it was mange. Its not that big of a deal if you treat it quickly and really doesn't even cost that much to treat, it cost us $44. I would take her to the vet just to be sure.

Might be, my ex's mom's dog had a nickel allergies and the collars cheap metal bits gave him a rash and hair loss, so maybe that could be a problem in your case to. Go to they vet to rule out any problems, they can see when we here can't :)

maybe it is the food she is eating.....not all doggie food is good.....it could be the door check both
