Dwarf Hamster Losing Hair?

My dwarf hamster is less then 2 months old. Just bought it from the pet shop around a week ago. It's starting to lose hair on it's underside and face. Quite a lot of hair. The remaining hair on the underside has turned yellow.

It's movements look rather slow and weak. Less active and drinking lots of water.

Is there any thing I can do besides bringing it to the vet?

can someone own a pet dwarf?

not really because until you know what it is you cant do much to help.

take it to the vet immediately and he will diagnose it and tell you what you can do because that is the only way its going to be solved.

The common reasons for hair loss and related problems are mites, protein deficiency, vitamin deficiency, allergic reactions to bedding and possibly age (I am not sure age would be relevant to your case though).

If it is any deficiency, vitamin and protein supplements can help or simply dietary changes.

This link has some information on hamster's diet and what is recommended - http://www.hilltopanimalhospital.com/ham...
